The Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers has hired a public relations firm.

Troncossi Public Relations has been taken on to raise Biltir’s public profile and to ensure the body “has a seat at the table when it comes to important business, regulatory and governmental issues”.

Biltir was founded in 2011, and its mission is to advocate for Bermuda’s life and annuity industry in areas such as regulatory requirements, other Bermuda Monetary Authority priorities, Bermuda Government issues and tax matters.

It has a membership of nearly 60 Bermuda companies.

A proactive media and stakeholder relations programme will be rolled out to raise awareness of the organisation among key influencers and the general public.

Elizabeth Tee, Troncossi’s managing director, said: “Biltir and its members support the local community and we are pleased to be helping get the word out about this.”
