Explore the library
People are being encouraged to explore the Bermuda National Library during Library Card Sign-up Month.
An information table will also be set up at the Queen Elizabeth Park on the next two Fridays, from noon until 2pm, while the annual Big Book Sale will take place on Friday, September 29, and Saturday September 30, from 10am to 3pm.
BNL director Joanne Brangman said in a statement: “The library isn’t just about its physical collection.
“Our cardholders have access to vital resources such as free computer use and complimentary Wi-Fi. With one card, our patrons have access to the resources of the Adult and Youth Libraries. That’s thousands of items you can check out, including books, movies, CDs, and much more.
“Cardholders can also enjoy the benefits of using a variety of online resources, which let users download e-books and audiobooks; view magazines, learn a new language or have access to free online tutors via their phone, tablet or computer.”
Membership is free, but people are required to bring photo ID and proof of address.
