Pair deny possession of cocaine
Two men denied seven drug charges yesterday, which included the possession of cocaine valued at more than $17,000.
Steven Easton, 48, and Jason Liburd, 49, pleaded not guilty at Magistrates’ Court to three counts of possession of cocaine with intent to supply. They also pleaded not guilty to four counts of possession of drug equipment.
The incident is alleged to have happened on August 29 last year at their Pembroke home.
The court heard that a total of 54.6 grammes of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $17,187, was alleged to have been found.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo heard rolling papers, razor blades and two grinders were found and adjourned the case until September 21 and released the two men on $10,000 bail.
