Neon has hired Ben Murphy from Hiscox to join its property insurance team in London.

The company said this was the latest in a series of efforts to strengthen its property insurance offering across its London and Bermuda operations.

Mr Murphy spent 12 years as a property underwriter at Hiscox, latterly working on the commercial property account and specialised in North American and Caribbean business.

Mr Murphy will work alongside Jonathan Powell, an experienced Lloyd’s underwriter who joined Neon earlier this year.

Chris Fisher leads Neon’s property insurance division. Recent appointments include property direct and facultative underwriters Dwayne Hunt and Kevin Stokes in Bermuda, and Sam Yates and Catherine Sethi in London.
