Parish council sponsors students’ further education

Three students have been presented with bursary awards of $1,500 each from Sandys Parish Council.
Aiyetoro Hinds will be pursuing postgraduate studies in international law and business at the University of Bristol, Ta’jame Branch will study for a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology at Dalhousie University and Destinie Bean will take a bachelor of science degree in special education at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Toni Spring, chairwoman of the parish council, said: “Council members wish them all the best in their endeavours and look forward to them giving back to the Sandys community as volunteers contributing in council activities.”
