The were only two stocks traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was Somers Limited. A total of 700 shares were exchanged, but with no change to the closing price of $13.50.

Six shares of Ascendant Group were also traded, again with no change to the closing price of $8.99.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 2,063.45.

On the New York Stock Exchange, Butterfield Bank shares improved by 16 cents, or 0.47 per cent, to $34.42.

The BSX Insurance Index dropped 35.56 points, or 1.9 per cent, to 1,839.54.
