Shares of utilities group Ascendant went up 14 cents to $8.89 on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

The increase, equal to 1.6 per cent, came after 1,000 shares traded.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the Bank of Butterfield went up 13 cents, or 0.38 per cent, to $34.43.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed up 1.35 points, or 0.07 per cent, at 2,050.31.

The BSX Insurance Index ended the day up 7.09 points, or 0.38 per cent, at 1,892.70.
