Two Bermudian athletes have received funding through the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Solidarity programme to support their bids to compete at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea, in February next year.
Tucker Murphy, a cross-country skier, and Matthew Leseur, a freestyle skier, will each receive a monthly grant as they train and compete for the Games, as well as funding to cover their transportation costs for qualification events.
Judy Simons, the BOA president, said: “The BOA is pleased to be able to assist Tucker and Matthew as they train and compete to earn the right to represent Bermuda on the world stage.”
