Sculley to speak on offshore finance

Mr. Arthur Sculley, a former senior executive with JP Morgan who is now president of Sculley Brothers LLC, a New York-based private invesrtment firm, will discuss, "some of the technological changes and global trends taking place which give Bermuda some distinct advantages but also pose challenges for the future''.
The speech will be given to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda (ICAB) on June 1 at 12.30 p.m. in the Tiara Room of the Hamilton Princess.
"Mr. Sculley is well equipped to speak on this topic,'' said ICAB. Mr.
Sculley, who retired from JP Morgan in February after spending 25 years on a number of international assignments, has titled his presentation "the ideal offshore investment services centre in the 21st Century'', said ICAB.
Mr. Sculley was head of JP Morgan's worldwide private banking division and a member of senior management with responsibility for JP Morgan's trust, investment management, mutual funds, brokerage and banking services, for its private global clients.
He also spent eight years in Hong Kong and Singapore setting up offices, was head of the Middle East department, and worked in London.
He joined brothers Mr. John Sculley, former chairman of Apple Computer Company, and Mr. David Sculley, senior vice president of HJ Heinz Company, to form Sculley Brothers earlier this year.
Mr. Sculley, the son of a Bermudian, spent his childhood summers in Bermuda.
He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School in 1967 and recently served on the Bermuda Government's Telecommunications Task Force.
