Man admits stealing cash from business
A Sandys man admitted stealing cash from a Reid Street business.
Desmond Trott, 35, pleaded guilty to a single count of entering Winchester Global Trust and stealing $130 of cash and between $20 and $30 worth of coins on May 24.
The court heard that staff at the premises discovered the theft when they came into the office the following morning and found an envelope of money had been removed along with a quantity of coins.
A review of CCTV footage from the office revealed Trott forcing his way into the building. He was subsequently arrested for the offence.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo adjourned sentencing until next month, releasing Trott on $3,000 bail with a like surety.
