Two directors at utilities firm Ascendant have stepped down from the board.

James Butterfield and Wilbert Warner retired last week after a combined total of 42 years as directors.

Mr Butterfield joined the board in 1993 and Dr Warner joined in 1999.

A spokesman for Ascendant said: “On behalf of the board, staff and shareholders, we thank them both for their dedicated service to the Ascendant group of companies and our community and wish them all the best moving forward.”
