Rainbows shine bright at Shelly Bay
There are more than thirty S1 and S2 girls in the First Saltus Rainbow Unit in the Lower Primary Department at Saltus Grammar School and they have been very busy.
Last term, the Rainbows collected food, leashes, collars, toys, blankets, towels and more for the SPCA, and a representative came and spoke to them. During the year the Rainbows earned their “All about Me” badge, “Rainbows” badge and “Seasons” badge.
On June 3, the Rainbows turned out to clean up Shelly Bay playground for Keep Bermuda Beautiful (KBB) and picked up lots of trash.
On June 5, excited S2 Saltus Rainbows moved up to Brownies at their “Pot of Gold Ceremony.” KBB’s Anne Hyde came by before the ceremony to talk to the students about the problems caused by trash on the beaches and in the oceans.
She thanked the Rainbows for their clean-up effort at Shelly Bay.
