The trial of two men accused of conspiring to import cocaine is due to open this morning.

Raynol Shane Todd, 51, and Andre Phillip Hill, 53, are said to have committed the crime some time prior to December 23, 2004.

Hill alone stands charged with handling cocaine with intent to supply on Boxing Day 2004.

Todd alone stands charged with possessing cannabis and drug equipment in the form of a pair of digital scales on Christmas Day of that year.

The pair pleaded not guilty to all the charges at Supreme Court yesterday morning. A jury comprising of seven women and five men was picked to hear their trial, and the case was adjourned until today so lawyers could engage in legal arguments.
