Relay for Life back on track
Updated: May 12, 2017 02:45 PM
The Relay for Life opening ceremony is to go ahead as scheduled.
Set-up for the event had been discontinued earlier today because of strong winds.
However, the event is back on track with the North Field reopened until 5pm for vehicles to deliver to campsites and tents are being set up again.
The event at the National Sports Centre, today and tomorrow, raises money in the battle against cancer, and involves teams of people taking turns to complete laps of the track.
The opening ceremony is set to start at 6.15pm at the North Field with a Luminaria Ceremony taking place around 9pm.
