Founded in 1885, American International College was first chartered by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to educate international immigrants. That's when our commitment to diversity began. Ever since, AIC has been a warm home to students from all over the world, and has remained committed to creating and understanding environment where dreams are nurtured and fulfilled.

AIC is organised into four academic schools: Arts, Education and Sciences, Business Administration, and Continuing and Extended Studies. The college is fully accredited to deliver over 50 respected undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Our most popular programs include business, communications, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, education, and criminal justice, and there are also pre-professional programs designed to guide you towards careers in medicine and law. We emphasise applied learning, and encourage our students to learn outside the classroom through internships and community involvement. Many of our professors are successful professionals in their field, and will give you the tools to seek your own success.

College is your home away from home, and we do our best to make sure it's a place where you can learn and grow. Our campus is always buzzing with activity, with students going to and from class, or taking advantage of wireless hot spots throughout our recently renovated campus to check e-mail, Facebook, or do some research.

Living at AIC is all about community, and we make sure you have access to fun, food, friends, a café, and even an on-campus pub for alumni and students over 21. The college also runs a cultural arts series every year that brings speakers, performers, and artists to campus-and admission is always free.

To make transitioning to college life easier, we have a variety of student support offices. You can find help with anything, from writing a paper, to studying for a tough exam, to finding fun things to do with like-minded people.

Athletic programs at AIC are also a great way to make friends and enhance your college experience. We compete at the NCAA Division II level, (Division I for Hockey) with over a dozen teams for men and women. Academics and athletics always play well together at AIC, and over a third of our students participate in sports. This fall we opened a new multisport turf field and track.
