A display has been set up in the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital lobby for the week and an information booth will be staffed by nurses from the Dialysis Unit. Members of the public are encouraged to stop by and learn how to prevent and treat kidney disease. Kidneys play a vital role in maintaining optimal health. Renal disease is a major risk for heart disease, so prevention can contribute to lower rates of cardiovascular disease, the number one cause of death worldwide.
