Pembroke Community Club’s Terpsichorean Dance Class, running true to form, held its annual Christmas Party in February, on Valentine’s Day to be exact. And some of the members are still trying to decide whether it was a belated 2010 event or an early one for this year.A miniature Christmas tree was the centerpiece of the beautifully decorated hall; there was tons of food to eat, but Santa Claus was conspicuous by his absence.Leslie Johnson, the man who usually filled that bill, appeared in a different role, as a lover in a skit along with Joan Dismont, 81, and a slightly younger suitor, Andrea Simmons. For other entertainment, terpsichorean dancing took second place to line dancing such as the electric slide which is becoming known as Bermuda’s second national anthem.
