The characteristically lively Angle Street, Hamilton resident Mrs Hennatta (Hannie) Jones was livelier than ever when her family and friends hosted a grand party celebrating her 85th birthday at the Leopards Club. Perhaps the longest time she sat still during the event was for the above photo. She’s seated on the left with her sisters, Kathleen Brangman and Wilhemina Fields. Standing are four of her five children, Mervyn Grant, Connie Morrison, Duane Jones and Roma Douglas. Missing was Thomas Jones.
