The Remembrance Day Parade in Hamilton, to commemorate those who fell in the two World Wars, is scheduled for tomorrow starting at 2012 at 10.30am.Governor George Fergusson and Premier Paula Cox will lead the dignitaries who will lay wreaths at the Cenotaph on Front Street, and also at the War Memorial on the Cabinet Office grounds.Members of the public are encouraged to attend the ceremony.Wreaths will also be laid by the Mayor of Hamilton, Graham Outerbridge; Leader of the Opposition, Craig Cannonier; representatives of the 1st Battalion Caribbean Bermuda Contingent; the President of the War Veterans Association; Bermuda Militia Infantry; Chairman of the Defence Board, the Commanding Officer of the Bermuda Regiment, the Commissioner of Police and the Chief Fire Officer.The Parade will be under the command of Captain D.E.R. Simons, with Adjutant, Captain B.L. Beasley and RSM, WO1, G.S. If the ‘Wet Weather Programme’ is enacted, the full ceremony at the Cenotaph will be cancelled and a service will be held at St John’s Church in Pembroke. At the conclusion of the church service, the dignitaries will then travel to Front Street to lay their wreaths at the Cenotaph and at the War Memorial.
