Inspiration from above sent author on her way

Author Patrice Lynch with her book 'It's in the Word'.

Author Patrice Lynch has recently released her book ‘It’s in the Word’. The book offers biblical encouragement along with poetry that has been placed in her heart to write. While she has a love for writing, more importantly she has a heart for God and His people. She uses her gift of writing to inspire and encourage others in their spiritual walk with the Lord.Mrs Lynch spoke to The Royal Gazette about her inspiration behind the book. Here’s what she had to say.Q: You’ve written ‘It’s in the Word’. What inspired you to write this book?A: One day I was practicing my calligraphy skills at home. I was using words from sermon notes to perfect my skill. As I did so I noticed that there were some words inside of a word, e.g. in the word Compromise is the word promise. I then thought: when you compromise concerning the things of God you actually give up on the promises that he has for you. I thought how unique this was and soon I had written about fifty words. One day a friend of mine saw them and told me to make a book out of them. I didn't really see how this would make a book, however I felt inspired by God to use this as a way to do something that I loved to do and that was to encourage others. The rest is history.Q: What was your favourite part of the book? Why was it your favourite part?A: My favourite part of the book is the poems that are at the end of the book. They are my favourite because at the time I wrote them I was going through some hard times in my life and as I jotted my feelings down I found the poems to be very inspiring and also they gave me answers that I so desperately sought. What's quite interesting is that many who have read the book have come back to tell me which poem helped them to face the issues that they were facing.Q: As you wrote the book, did you find any part difficult to write? If so, why?A: There was absolutely no part that was difficult to write. It all flowed smoothly.Q: What message do you want the readers to grasp from your book?A: The message that I want my readers to get is that no matter what you go through in life there is always an answer. The answers to all of life's problems and questions are found in God and it is in him that you will truly find success.Q: How long have you been writing?A: I have been writing for the past four years but more actively in the past year.Q: What inspires you to write?A: I feel that writing is my way to get the inspiration God gives me to others who may it. Many know me as a person who loves to uplift others spirits so I looked for opportunities to do so. I can't figure a better way to encourage the masses than to write. My greatest inspiration is my love for God and his people.Q: Do you plan to write any more books?A: At this present time I have just completed my second book ‘He Promised He Would Love Me’. This book is a biblical and practical guide to remaining in a marriage when divorce is inevitable. This book will be going to the editors in the coming days. I am also writing a 365-day devotional titled "A Passion for Kingdom Ways", which should be complete later this year. I also have written a stage play with the production looking to happen in April 2014. Other than that I have other titles but I am letting God lead me as when to start writing them.Q: Who is your favourite author?A: One of my favourite authors is Miles Munroe with his many inspirational books on the Kingdom of God and how to live by it.Q: Do you have any words of encouragement for those writers who desire to publish their first book?A: My words of encouragement to first time writers are to follow your heart and go for it. If you feel strongly about writing and publishing don't let anyone stop you from doing it. There will be many who may discourage you but if that's what you feel to do, ignore them. As a fellow author told me, "there's always an audience for your book". With that, I went for it and so should you. It is one of most awesome journeys that you will take.Q: Are there any additional comments that you would like to add?A: While I admit that I love writing, it is in no way possible to do so except I rely on God to give me the words to write. He is my biggest inspiration outside of my family and he is the reason why I believe that my books will touch the hearts of those who read them.l ‘It’s in the Word’ can be purchased through orders by calling 705-2405. The book will also be in bookstores at a later date.
