Parfitt's dream XI

Clarence Parfitt has picked his dream team, one that he thinks could beat any team on its day.Parfitt selected players whom he played with and against, with no players from even the last 20 years making his team, though he admits it was difficult leaving out the likes of Noel Gibbons, Colin Blades, Gladstone (Sad) Brown and Barry DeCouto. Others just missing out are Charlie Marshall and Clevie Wade and St. David’s pair Elliott Pitcher and Vernon Foggo. The team would be captained by Cal (Bummy) Symonds and contained three Raynors from the dominate Southampton Rangers team of the 1960s and 70s.“I travelled with most of these guys and we hardly lost a match,” said Parfitt.Dream Team (in batting order): Dennis Wainwright (wk), Sheridan Raynor, Lloyd James, Lee Raynor, Charlie Daulphin, Cal Symonds (capt), Eldon Raynor, Shiraz Ali, Randy Horton, Winston Trott, Clarence Parfitt.
