Bermudian jazz musician Winfield Davis has released a new album, ‘Ethereal Journey’. A fan inspired the album’s title.“One day while I was reading fan mail, a fan remarked, ‘your music is very ethereal’, and it was at that moment it all came together,” said Mr Davis. “So it comes from reflecting on my own life and my career.”The former Bermuda Regiment drummer is making a name for himself in the United States and across the world his career took off through Internet radio.This is his third album. He composed, produced and performed all the tracks by himself.Mr Davis is now planning an international tour with his recently-formed band.“I had also spent some time researching Afro-Cuban music and was truly fascinated by it. The rhythms, the movement, and the story behind this music is so exciting that I just had to write a song about it.“‘Havana’ is the third track on ‘Ethereal Journey’ and it added just the right transition and diversity I needed.”Mr Davis began working on the album last March and finished it in October.The album is being sold on iTunes for $9.90 or 99 cents per song.
