Masterworks’ artists-in-residence Patrick and Sarah Vandenberg will host a slideshow of past works at the gallery this evening.Mr Vandenberg is the first wood sculptor to participate in the programme.“As an artist, I am primarily a wood sculptor. I love nature and am most inspired by natural shapes and places.“Media I typically use include found materials, both natural and man-made, such as wood, stone, steel, leather and plastic. These materials are carved or altered and fit together to become various sizes of sculptural insects, fish, birds and plants.”Said Mrs Vandenberg: “Over the years my primary discipline has been oil painting. I am deeply inspired by the contrasting seasons, and the way light and time move through the still landscapes around me.”Doors at the Rick Faries Gallery open at 5.30pm. General admission, $5.
