BUEI to host award-winning documentary
An award-winning documentary and a romantic comedy are on offer at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute this weekend.‘Freedom Riders’ tells the story of an integrated group of US college students who travel into the deep South to challenge segregation laws.Veteran filmmaker Stanley Nelson’s documentary chronicles a chapter of American history that stands as an astonishing testament to the accomplishment of youth.The filmmaker was nominated for the 2011 Writer’s Guild Award for Best Documentary Screenplay.The Italian comedy ‘Many Kisses Later’ follows six couples between Christmas and Valentine’s Day as they fall in and out of love.The film won the Best Comedy prize at the Italian film critics’ awards.‘Freedom Riders’ is rated PG; ‘Many Kisses Later’ is rated R.The films screen at 3pm and 5.30pm respectively.
