‘New Works’, a new exhibit by pastel artist Dean Walker opens at the Windjammer II Gallery this week.Landscapes and seascapes will be on show. Mr Walker is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America.He is also a graduate of the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois, where he studied under master watercolourist Irving Shapiro.He moved to the Island seven years ago and has since worked full-time as an artist.“I have not wasted a moment developing my skills and learning all I could about the medium called pastels.“I can never learn enough or know enough, but the journey has sure been fun. The New Works show has been a journey also. The Windjammer II Gallery is a setting here in Bermuda that beautifully shows an artist’s works.“I am very excited to be able to have such a viewing in this gallery.”The show opens Friday and runs through May 26.
