The Siegel clan and the American Dream
The third time’s the charm — or so believes The Bermuda Documentary Film Festival.Organisers have decided to screen the Sundance award-winning film ‘The Queen of Versailles’ for a third time, tomorrow at 6pm.Anyone who missed the first two showings are encouraged to come out to the TradeWinds Auditorium at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute. Both past screenings, including one that opened the film festival, were completely sold out.Festival director Duncan Hall described it as a sharply observed and deliciously funny film. It paints a portrait of the “fascinating and just slightly lovable” Siegel family, Jackie and David, who embark on the construction of a 90,000 square foot house but must adjust to changing circumstances when the economic downturn hits, Mr Hall explained.Tickets are available at the Oceans Gift Shop at the BUEI, or by calling 297-7314.
