BUEI to host new film series
People have a new place to watch award-winning films on the big screen.
The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute will show new movies on the second and fourth Saturday of each month at its Tradewinds Auditorium.
BUEI chief executive officer Karla Lacey said: “Films have historically been an important source of core revenue for the BUEI.
“With the limited opportunities for big screen viewing, we believe there’s a market for thoughtfully curated offerings.”
All films are intended for mature audiences and the first one will be the documentary Blind Ambition, which will be screened on February 11.
This will be followed by the Oscar-nominated drama The Whale on February 25. Every screening will start at 7pm.
General admission tickets are $15 and a big screen package, which includes a complimentary glass of wine, beer or a non-alcoholic drink, as well as a snack pack, will be $25.
Tickets for the films can be bought on the BUEI’s website or at Ptix.bm.
