HSBC steps up social-distancing measures
HSBC Bermuda is to reintroduce enhanced social-distancing protocols from Monday because of the recent spike in new Covid-19 cases.
The measures will apply in the bank’s Harbourview, St George’s and Somerset branches.
The changes “will include measures to limit footfall within in the branches and the closure of the Reid Street entrance of the Harbourview Branch,” a spokeswoman for the bank said today.
“We regret any increase in wait times or inconvenience this decision may cause our customers,” she added.
Branch hours, 9am until 4pm, will remain unchanged. The Church Street branch will remain closed until further notice.
“HSBC Bermuda is committed to serving and protecting the health of our customers and offering the same protection for our employees and the wider community,” the spokeswoman said.
“With this in mind, all customers are required to wear facial coverings or masks when on the bank’s premises, in line with Government advice.”
Customers are also reminded to use digital channels as much as possible.
