New CEO: Neville Grant has been named as chief executive officer of Bermuda Commercial Bank

Neville Grant has been appointed chief executive officer of Bermuda Commercial Bank.

The appointment was made at this month’s meeting of the company’s board of directors.

Following a “successful transition period”, Mr Grant will step into the CEO role as the successor to Hubert Esperon, the company said.

Mr Esperon will continue working with the board in his capacity as a director until February.

“I am proud of what we have achieved as a team,” Mr Esperon said. “We have fundamentally prepared Bermuda Commercial Bank to transform itself and deliver on a new period of growth.

“Neville’s leadership strength and banking experience will be a game changer for BCB, and I wish him and the team the very best.”

Mr Grant said: “Hubert and the team have placed the bank in an excellent position, I look forward to leading our commitment to providing innovative and effective financial solutions to Bermuda-based and international business customers, individual clients and service providers.”

Mr Grant joined BCB in May as chief commercial officer with almost 30 years of banking experience including senior banking roles at HSBC, both in Bermuda and internationally.

He has a bachelor of business administration degree from Andrews University, and an MBA from Webster University.
