Butterfield wins top bank award for 10th year in a row
For the tenth year in a row, Butterfield has been named Bank of the Year 2022 in Bermuda by The Banker, an international financial affairs publication.
The Banker, owned by the Financial Times, has been the world’s leading monthly journal of record for the banking industry for almost a century, Butterfield said.
Its awards programme aims to highlight industry excellence and marks out banks with strong management, sound business models and a prudent risk approach. Judges receive more than 1,000 applications and select one bank from 120 countries based on performance, innovation, adding customer value and leadership in the community.
Butterfield’s managing director of Bermuda and international wealth, Michael Neff, was delighted: “This award reflects the effort and dedication our employees have put in throughout the year and it is an achievement we are proud of.
Earlier this year, Butterfield was also named Bermuda’s best private bank by The Banker/PWM and Global Finance magazine.
