HSBC Bermuda has joined Butterfield and Clarien in closing early Thursday, out of an abundance of caution due to the approaching Hurricane Lee.
All three closed at 2pm Thursday, and are expected to reopen Friday noon, subject to the receipt of an all clear from the Bermuda Government and a post hurricane safety review of bank premises.
HSBC said ATMs in St George’s, Somerset and Dockyard locations were closed, and others may follow suit.
