Butterfield plans systems maintenance this weekend
Butterfield Bank will be carrying out work on technology systems this weekend curtailing service in some areas.
Butterfield has advised customers by email that the work will take place from 6pm on Friday, with normal services expected to resume on Monday.
The bank said: “The work is to bring our clients in the Cayman Islands onto the same online infrastructure introduced in Bermuda in April.”
During the weekend:
• Butterfield Online and Saturday banking will be unavailable
• Butterfield debit and credit cards can be used as normal
• ATM services will be available for cash withdrawals and deposits, only
The Butterfield e-letter stated: “From Monday, when Bermuda users login to Butterfield Online, you will no longer need to select Bermuda on the home screen. If you use our app, you should ensure that you have updated to the latest version.”
