Clarien to put new iBank troubles behind them

Clarien Bank’s system update and crossover to the new ebanking system, scheduled for today, did not go without its teething troubles.

But the institution remained confident that all systems would soon be functional on the new platform.

Customers were expected to migrate personal and business accounts and were given early warning of how to affect the move.

But a spokesman conceded today: “We are aware of some isolated issues that our clients have faced when attempting to re-enrol into the bank’s new ebanking channels.

“We have resolved many of the issues and will continue to work with our clients to get them back online as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience as we enhance our banking platform.”

The new ebanking system is expected to bring upgrades for users, including extra security features.

Clients were notified in advance that iBank was to be unavailable from Friday evening until Monday.

An online notice said that: “During this period, our iATMs and digital portals (digital account opening and digital account maintenance) will also be temporarily unavailable. Please plan your transactions accordingly.”
