Dill fit and raring to go in his Stampede league debut

Bermuda basketball –professional Terrence Dill will be hoping to make his Buffalo Stampede debut at home against Garden State tomorrow. The ex-Devonshire Dragons forward missed Stampede’s opening match of the inaugural Atlantic Coast Professional –Basketball League (ACPBL) last week as he was still waiting for his paperwork to be finalised. Stampede won that game –132-114 over Hudson Valley.“I didn’t get a chance to play due to my paperwork not being completed but I’m expecting to be out on the court with the guys this weekend,” said Dill.“I was on the bench as an –active player but didn’t suit up. The game was good and it looks like we will have a good season, although it is too early to say –exactly what will happen.”With the game being the first of the season, Dill expected his side to come out and have a little bit of ring rust. This was far from the truth, as the Stampede poured in 40 points in the first quarter to set the tempo for the rest of the game. The 24-year-old will now –focus his sights on Garden State this weekend, where he is –expecting to make his debut at home.“The game was actually more then I expected, I thought it would be a close game where we would have to shake off some rust. We went out and played like a top NBA team and never –allowed them to get into any rhythm.“We had 40 points in the first quarter and never looked back, so it was a good win and I’ll –definitely be in this weekend.”Tomorrow’s match takes place at the Daeman College at 7.30pm.
