Basketball league set to resume

Action in the Bermuda Basketball Association senior men’s league is scheduled to resume on Saturday.

Matches were halted in November for undisclosed reasons after two rounds of fixtures and a meeting held on January 24 was held to find solutions to challenges faced by the BBA.

Joshua Nesbitt, the BBA vice-president in charge of the league, expressed confidence that season will now continue without any future interruptions.

“The league will resume on Saturday February 15, with the first game at 6.30pm at The Berkeley Institute gymnasium,” Nesbitt said.

“We don’t envisage any future disruption to the current season and it should conclude at the end of March or early April.”

When the six-team league was halted shortly after starting, Kings were on top with a 100 per cent winning record. Also unbeaten at that point were New Era Flyboys.

Meanwhile, in the Bermuda Youth Basketball All-Star Division, things continue to run smoothly.

Mambas top the standings, followed by Bulldogs.
