Butterfield Bank rose 4.2 percent (five cents) to $1.25 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.The bank traded 5,420 shares during the day.The Ascendant Group Ltd. also saw 300 shares change hands, but its share price held firm at $15.Overall the Index rose 23.92 points (2.12 percent) to 1,151.75, with 5,720 shares worth BD$11,200 and 200 shares worth US$2,270 transacted.The BSX Insurance Index also climbed five points (0.49 percent) to 1,034.
