BF&M shares jumped 7.5 percent to help The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index close in positve territory yesterday.BF&M rose $1.05 to close at $15 on volume of 2,500 shares.The Index closed up 8.46 points at 1,144.82 on volume of 12,000 shares worth $107,875.Also gaining was utility group Ascendant, owner of Belco and Bermuda Gas, which added 15 cents to close at $15 on volume of 4,000 shares.Offsetting the gains was Argus, which edged down one cent to close at $4.99 as 1,000 shares changed hands.Trading unchanged was Butterfield Bank at $1.25 as 4,500 shares traded.
