100,000 Butterfield Bank shares trade

One hundred thousand Butterfield Bank shares traded yesterday on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX).The bank, which lost more than $200 million last year, remained unchanged on $1.25.The bank’s preference shares also traded, rising $10, or 0.8 percent, to $1,235, as 50 shares changed hands.Insurer BF&M Ltd was also unchanged on $14, as 2,562 shares were traded.Ascendant Group Ltd also held steady on $14.50 as 1,200 shares were exchanged.he Royal Gazette/ BSX Index was unchanged on 1,121.81.The BSX Insurance Index slipped 14 points, or 1.34 percent, to 1,029.
