KeyTech climbs 1.6%
Telecommunications company KeyTech Ltd gained 1.6 percent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading yesterday.The owner of the Bermuda Telephone Company, M3 Wireless and Logic Communications rose 10 cents to close on $6.35 on the trading of 10,000 shares.Ascendant Group Ltd, the owner of electricity company Belco, was another utilities company to trade. Five thousand of its shares changed hands as it remained on $14.Butterfield Bank remained on $1.30 as 100 shares changed hands, while the bank’s preference shares were also unchanged on $1,250 as 20 were traded. The Royal Gazette / BSX Index rose 1.25 points, or 0.11 percent, to 1,160.12.Volume of shares traded was 15,120, while turnover was just shy of $159,000.The BSX Insurance Index of the Island’s leading international insurance companies fell two points, or 0.2 percent, to close on 1,020.
