Butterfield Bank rose 8.66 percent (11 cents) on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.The bank traded 7,200 shares to close at $1.38.But BF&M Ltd fell 0.68 percent (10 cents) to $14.50 with 6,600 shares changing hands.The Ascendant Group Ltd, meanwhile, dropped 0.35 percent (five cents) to $14 as 3,100 shares were transacted.The only other trader was KeyTech Ltd, which traded 5,100 shares, but its share price held firm at $6.Overall the Index rose 51.49 points (4.57 percent) to 1,178.03 with 22,000 shares worth $179,426 changing hands.The BSX Insurance Index was also up 13 points (1.26 percent) at 1,026.
