Ascendant shares up 4%

Ascendant Group shares rose four percent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading yesterday.
The parent company of electricity provider Belco gained 40 cents to close on $10.50, as 6,600 of its shares traded.
Insurer BF&M closed lower, falling five cents, or 0.3 percent, to close on $17.45, as 1,500 shares were exchanged.
More than 128,000 Butterfield Bank shares traded, but the share price remained unchanged on $1.40.
The Royal Gazette / BSX Index rose 3.12 points, or 0.27 percent, to close on 1,156.55.
Volume was 136,432 shares and turnover topped $273,000.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 7.7 points, or 0.53 percent, to close on 1,442.26.
