Butterfield shares gain 2%

Butterfield Bank gained more than two percent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.
The bank gained three cents, or 2.1 percent, to close on $1.45, as 8,700 shares traded.
Insurer BF&M Ltd went in the opposite direction, slipping 45 cents, or 2.6 percent, to close on $17, as 1,600 shares traded.
The Royal Gazette / BSX Index gained 11.07 points, or 0.95 percent, to close on 1,172.69. Volume of shares traded was 16,700, while turnover was just shy of $80,000.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 6.8 points to close on 1,446.45.
