The Bermuda Stock Exchange has not shaken off the holiday mood — with no trades today and an unchanged close at just over 1,201.

But the Bermuda Insurance Index reflected the New Year slump in reinsurance renewal rates, dropping 32.7 points to finish at 1454 — a drop of 2.2 percent.
