Butterfield bounces back

Butterfield Bank shares bounced back up three percent today, regaining half of the ground they lost on Thursday.
The bank closed on $1.70, up five cents, as 9.024 shares traded. It was an immediate rebound after Butterfield had plunged ten cents on Thursday.
That was enough to drive The Royal Gazette/BSX Index up by 23.6 points, or 1.88 percent, to 1,278.27.
Six thousand shares also traded in Somers Ltd, the owner of Bermuda Commercial Bank, but the share price was unchanged on $12.
Volume traded on the BSX was 15,027 shares, while turnover totalled $87,362.40.
The BSX Insurance Index gained 8.54 points, or 0.62 percent, to close on 1,388.26.
