The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index closed up 32.81 yesterday, ending the day’s trading at 1,453.32.

Some 26,969 shares moved at a value of $94,641.89.

Banking was the only sector that saw activity with 23,336 Bank of NT Butterfield Ltd shares changing hands at 2.05, up 0.06 on its previous trade. Somers Limited also closed up when 3,633 shares traded at 13.00, a gain of 0.75.
