KeyTech shares surge 11%
KeyTech Ltd shares surged more than 11 percent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.
The telecommunications group, which owns Bermuda Telephone Company and Logic Communications, gained 50 cents, or 11.1 percent, on the trading of 9,000 shares to close on $5.
Fellow utility Ascendant Group Ltd did not have such a good day, falling 21 cents, or three percent, to close at a 52-week low of $6.80, as 5,000 of its shares changed hands.
Butterfield Bank’s eight percent preference shares fell two cents to close on $1,179.13, as 27 shares traded.
Butterfield’s common shares remained unchanged on $1.99 as 7,000 shares traded.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 4.35 points, or 0.31 percent, to close the day on 1,416.93. Volume was 21,027, while turnover topped $122,000.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 2.45 points, or 0.17 percent, to close on 1,448.74.
