BF&M Ltd was the only stock to advance in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today.

The insurer gained 11 cents, or 0.7 percent, as 100 shares traded.

There was brisk trading in fellow insurer Argus Group Holdings Ltd, as 12,400 shares changed hands, but the company’s share price remained on $3.90.

Ascendant Group Ltd stayed on $6.35 as 7,600 shares traded and Butterfield Bank remained rooted on $1.99 as 2,066 shares changed hands.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index climbed 0.76 of a point, or 0.05 percent, to close on 1,379.61.

Volume totalled 22,166 shares and turnover was $103,152.34.

The BSX Insurance Index climbed 4.47 points to close on 1,485.74.
