Butterfield shares hit $2 mark

Butterfield Bank shares hit the $2 mark after a day of heavier-than-normal trading in the stock on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The bank rose one cent, or 0.5 percent, as 346,154 shares changed hands.
The bank’s move drove The Royal Gazette/BSX Index up by 4.72 points, or 0.35 percent. Volume totalled 371,854 shares, while turnover was $787,852.41.
A total of 23,600 KeyTech Ltd shares changed hands, leaving the price unchanged at $3.50. Ascendant Group Ltd was also unmoved on $6.20, as 1,900 shares traded.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 3.82 points, or 0.26 percent, to close on 1,463.95.
