BF&M climbs 3.4%
Butterfield Bank and BF&M Ltd both gained in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today, while the utilities fell.
Butterfield climbed one cent, or 0.5 percent, to close on $2, as 133,254 shares changed hands.
Insurer BF&M was the biggest climber, gaining 60 cents, or 3.4 percent, as 7,000 shares were exchanged, to finish the day on $18.25.
Telecommunications group KeyTech Ltd closed down 20 cents at $4.15, a fall of 4.4 percent, as 1,500 shares traded.
Belco owner Ascendant Group Ltd fell ten cents, or 1.6 percent, to $6.15, as 5,900 shares changed hands.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 5.5 points, or 0.4 percent, to close on 1,398.01. Volume topped 148,000 shares, while turnover was just over $442,000.
The BSX Insurance Index climbed 6.21 points, or 0.44 percent, to close on 1,428.49.
