Shares of Butterfield Bank lost $0.01 in value, falling to $1.99 after 6,472 were traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index yesterday.

The bank’s shares were one of three stocks that closed lower. Also falling were shares of KeyTech, down $0.05 at $3.70, and HSBC Holdings, which ended $0.15 lower at $9.85.

Three stocks rose, with Ascendant Group up $0.05 at $5.80, Devonshire Industries up $0.50 at $4.50 and Wealth Assurance Holdings closing at $35.

The index closed down 4.92 points (0.34 per cent) at 1,370.56.
